CASEIN CHANGE & REPAIR

If you have damaged the casein of your mobile phone – perhaps you dropped it or sat down while the device was in your pocket – you’ve immediately given yourself a headache. Can the phone be repaired, and if so, what are the costs? There are many services available online that will repair your mobile phone, but if you have access to the parts and they’re inexpensive, why not perform the procedure yourself? Meanwhile, you should also consider the non-monetary costs – time spent without a phone, data that needs removing from the device. Can data be removed at all? Is there a desktop utility that can check the phone’s contents?

If a new phone is going to cost but a replacement screen costs somewhere in the same ball-park, then spending time and effort fitting a new display is going to be pointless. However, if replacing the mobile phone casein is closer t, then you’re onto something.

BATTERY SOLUTIONS

Is your phone not working after dropping it in liquid or exposing it to moisture? Don’t panic just yet there is hope to get your phone working properly again. Here are a few methods that you can do to try to revive your phone and bring it back to life.

If there is no response to a charger and your phone will not power on after being exposed to liquid then the first thing I recommend is to attempt to locate a different battery to try in the phone. If a friend or family member doesn’t have a battery you can barrow for a few minutes to see if it is a battery issue then you can go to a store that sells your type of phone and briefly barrow a battery from their display phone. Just tell a store representative that you want to check your battery with one that you know is working properly and they’ll usually let you try a working battery in your phone.
Charging and power issues are some of the most common issues resulting from liquid damage on a cell phone. If your phone simply isn’t charging properly after a liquid accident then remove the battery (and charger) from the phone and clean the charging ports on the phone and the connector leads on the battery with alcohol; the closer to 99% alcohol used the better. Clean areas that you might see any spots or places that might seem like they are not getting a good connection to one another, such as spots of corrosion or areas of calcium buildup.

PLUG-IN CHNAGE & REPAIR

Charging ports are easy to damage. Constant connecting and removal of the connector cord can be hard on the port and move, bend, or damage internal components. Sometimes a dropped phone can also cause charging issues. If your phone or mobile device has stopped charging correctly, there are a few things that you can do to troubleshoot and attempt to fix the problem.

The charging port can be dirty or dusty, blocking the connection. Try using a can of compressed air to remove debris from inside the port. If this does not help, it might need further cleaning. Turn off the device, remove the battery and use a small amount of rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner to clean inside the port very carefully. Use a piece of paper dipped in alcohol – do not spray or dump any liquid into the port itself.

If you have tried cleaning and routine troubleshooting, but you are still having problems with the charging port, let us evaluate the problem with a free diagnosis. Bring the device to a local Cell Phone Repair store or use our convenient mail-in service. An experienced technician will evaluate the problem and give you an estimate of time and cost to repair the charging port.
